We’re very pleased to announce that digital cinema camera company ‘Red’ will soon be launching (Feb 2016) a lower cost camera for high end cinematography – the RED RAVEN! For the market this is truly groundbreaking as we’ll be seeing a Red camera ready to shoot for the first time below £10K! It’s one of those moments when the game changes and everyone has to adapt or be left behind. For the viewer, it’s a visual feast with a far greater number of videos being of cinema standard. For the Producer, it’s time to deliver, time to maximise the Raven’s potential!

At Brickhouse we’ve been big fans of Red Cameras since we started out and have filmed a number of our high end productions on the Red Epic Dragon, which has also been used to shoot such films as The Hobbit, Spiderman and Transformers. What we particularly like is the sensor technology for high resolution, variable frame rates (slow motion) and high dynamic range.

When the Raven finally lands we will be able to deploy it on lower budget productions so our clients will always be getting Red cinema standard imagery. As ever, we’ll be stealing a march on our competitors by getting our order in early and we just can’t wait for the New Year to arrive. 2016 is going to be visually awesome! For techno geeks like ourselves you can find a full list of the Raven’s specs below. Brace yourselves!
